Yo!I'm Landon.I'm from Akron, Ohio, but I now call Chicago home.  By day, I build and fit prosthetic limbs by hand to help my patients regain their mobility.  Outside of work I’m constantly on the move, exploring the city or far-off destinations.  I've always enjoyed taking photographs, but after a trip to Patagonia with just my phone camera I was encouraged by several people to take my game to the next level.  I bought my very first real camera, a Fujifilm XT-5, and I've been hooked ever since.  Light, shadow, color, composition, focal length...it all captivates me.  Like prosthetics, my photography allows me to combine art and science to create something meaningful.  It has simultaneously evolved into a passion for showcasing the unseen and overlooked.  I hope my work resonates with fellow explorers or those simply yearning for a bit of adventure in their lives.  I'm still very much a work in progress but I hope you enjoy joining me on this journey!

On the move.

Why I Travel

Working in prosthetics, you realize what a gift movement is.  A lot of people take the ability to move for granted, but not me.  I love to move. Period.  Between riding my bike around the city, hitting the gym, playing beach volleyball, or exploring around the next corner I am constantly on the move.

In my head, traveling is simply an extension of this mindset.  Traveling is a beautiful combination of movement and curiosity.  If have the ability to go to far away places, why wouldn't I?

My photography is an outlet to capture this movement and inquisitiveness.  Photography is a window to show that the world is vast and moves in different ways.  The way we live is just one version of this reality. Through my work, I aim to show that there are countless ways to experience life, each with its own set of colors, textures, and motions. It’s not just about capturing images; it’s about highlighting the diversity of this world and championing the journey along the way.

My photography - like my life - is all about celebrating movement.
